Over the past few months I’ve noted that during the majority of Mcafee Security Center Subscription installations, McAfee SiteAdvisor is failing to install. I’ve also noted that on many systems with Mcafee SiteAdvisor already installed, it has recently failed to work. This may have occured shortly after an update, new installation of McAfee, or after a Firefox or Internet Explorer update.
The specific reasons why this is happening is unclear, and I have yet to receive a definitive answer form the McAfee community. There are a couple of workarounds that have shown success if you miss or would like to use the McAfee site advisor functionality. [Read more...]
